Point Point has hardly anything of worth in the harder grades (26+), has no family friendly crags, is closed for 5 days a week and also cops any bad weather. Nowra has everything that Point Perp doesn't. And it is a handy 30 minutes away.

I had to look hipster up. It's kind of relevant that you should bring them into the thread considering the definition for hipster reads like the opposite definition to a Bogan. Who would be more likely to bag out a Nowra bogan than a visiting hipster?

Can you clarify something else. Are you saying people who climb Nowra are hipsters and they make you want to vomit or are you saying hipsters are like people who climb Nowra because they both make you want to vomit? Either way are you saying climbers who climb at Nowra make you want to vomit?

I've spent a couple of weekends down in Nowra this winter. Enjoyed the climbing, the sun and met a few friendly climbers around the crag. In fact I've found it pretty easy to like other climbers. I know you've been there on a weekend. What makes you better than everyone else climbing there?

I always find it amusing when tourists complain about the crowding.

Always best to begin on the Low B accompanied by a driving rhythm.

Well I'm gonna go right ahead and go out on a craaaazy limb. I love climbing and clipping rings in Nowra!!! In fact, Nowra is home to my favorite climbing style!! steep, pumpy, well bolted, fun and gymnastic! (...why does this thread make me feel like I've just "come out of the closet"...?)

Because you have just graduated from bouldering?
Heh, heh, heh.

Don't ask, don't tell still applies to nowra.

...... and the radiation that leaches out of the rock eventually leads to your genitalia shrinking

If the rock in Nowra makes things shrink then perhaps a few people on this thread could benefit from spending a little bit of time beaching, (sorry, BASKING) their entire bodies against some of the more moderate pleasantries on offer there.

So you did invest in a 5th string in the end? Sweet!

Haha, I forgot that you had an armada of basses, just knew that last time we caught up you were talking about acquiring the acoustic 5 string. That 4 string resonator acoustic of yours is amazing, if you can ever get the intonation sorted out it will be the ultimate campfire funk weapon :)

Nowra as a town is a different creature from the climbing. If you think that all Nowra routes are short and cranky, well, your missing half the fun of the place. Theres the short and cranky in Bombadery, the New Nowra routes away from town, superb bouldering in and out of town, single and multi, trad and sport routes above the sea at Pt Perp and if you want some adventure head up into the hills and find it or paddle up the Shoalhaven, DWS or climb massive trad routes.

Nowra as town is culturally wanting but so are most Australian towns!

We are bitching about nowra here, not praising all those other places.

Some might say this website is culturally wanting too, so it is an appropriate match to post on this thread.
nowra and massive trad routes? Get a grip, or unhand yourself as the case may be!

I see via facebook that someone's car was broken into at Thompson's today. That 18 years may not have made much difference ...
