Not true by the way, since I am married and have no need to resort to it.
I still reckon you'd be flat out, like a lizard drinking, trying to juggle even as few as 3 stumpies while slacklining in the pines tho.

And you have been married for how long?

I thought so.
When you get to that point, you will realise it not only depends on your partner, but your ongoing relationship with same.
This scenario has nothing to do with how much climbing you won't do, particularly once the kids come along.

Back on topic.
I drove over a stumpie on my way to the Araps the other day, does that count for an interaction relationship with a reptile, particularly since it is now more the tile part of the rep?

Close to married, but not yet. I was just alluding that what you said was not in line with the classic depiction of marriage in various media. I thought it was funny, but I guess it missed the mark.

In a similar vein is that joke about the stages of a relationship being defined by the type of sex you have. Initially there's anywhere sex, then bedroom sex and finally hallway sex.

At the start of the relationship you have sex anywhere and everywhere, later only in the bedroom and finally you just pass each other in the hall and say "f--- you!".

Don't know about your sources that have created your impression.
If you stick with those then you are short cahnging yourself, and may end up with rubbery underarms while attempting routes.
I have not found the scenario you describe to be the case.
Get sensitive bro.
Maybe share your morning coffee as a start?
Maybe steal a reptile from the Araps to befriend as a pet if you fail in the above relationship?

We have only been given short notice for this assignment. If I had longer I would to of done some field work. Thanks for your insight :)

That is a start of sorts.
Youd' do well to share more than that.
Maybe stroking your Araps stumpy for a start. My Nati mate simey tells me that they respond well to that kind of treatment, though Eddy Slab disagrees with him I am told.
You will have to make yor own mind up on that.
When you have, please give Eddy some positive feedback.

Back on topic, I saw a big, freaky-looking goanna (I think) between Watchtower right and left faces, right where the track meets the cliff.

There's a big one that suns itself on the face just beside the start of Arachnus - where the track meets the face.

By the way, is an Arachnus a collective noun for a large group of slow moving beginners blocking up a popular climb on a sunny Saturday?

Only a 'collective' of two*, or multiples thereof.

The Arachnus goanna was looking quite unhappy beaten up last week. Had a big flyblown gash on its nose and its mouth was pretty swollen. Looked like it could be a while before it could eat again.

Species I've often sited at Grampians around the walls:
Black Rock Skink (Egernia saxatilis)
Garden Skink (Lampropholis guichenoti)
Boulenger's Skink (Morethia boulengeri)
Striped Skink (Ctenotus robustus)
There are other species about, but from my experience these (especially the Black Rock Skinks) are the most common at the cliff itself. The Black Rock Skinks seem to be curious and come close. They also seem to be attracted to tuna :-)

Technically she could well have sited them at the Gramps from somewhere else.
