make a move topo of your latest project.
Everyone remembers what to do with their hands, it's the foot moves that make or break a tick.

Ha! I have a book where I write out sequences but never even thought to draw it up, thats great. Funnily enough Ive never taken a written beta sequence to a crag but it helps me remember the night before etc...mine have lame little things like 'flag DEEP!' or 'exhale and believe' interspersed between Lf Rh etc....I still dont send them but I have the theory and concept!!

I see where you got the sequence mixed up with the hand/foot lableing on that topo.

I find reading inspirational stuff like this;

to be a good wet day killtime.

Trust me, it will never sell.
The new market is bouldering and either they are illiterate, or have short attention spans, as my last publication with pretty pictures in it proves.

What is the symbol for the desperate scrabbly slidey bit?

A Madrock emblem?

Alex, the symbol for scrabbling up a slab is:-
`
.`
..`
...`
....`
Actually the last move is classic, it slabs off at about 60 degrees, the pull up and step up, push the last 2 holds down to below your waist, let go and then stand up in balance to reach the top.

Go crag searching and find this.....
My theory if it looks good in the rain, on a fine day it will be awesome.....plus you have to do something until the pub opens.

Hey RodW, is that up near Berowra? I found something a bit like that, but the access was a leechfest nightmare. There are a couple of other interesting bits of rock around as well, so I've got to get back to weight loss by leg laceration.

Nah nick...in the blueys...no leeches at all.

Don't drive three hours to climb at Thompson's point after 140mm of rain... Nothing is dry :(

I was there on Sunday - the caves had surprisingly good conditions. The 20 and 22 on the pocketed wall almost felt their grade!

Drive to Natimuk. Even by my winter hating standards, conditions have been pretty bloody good for about 2 weeks now.

Go indoor climbing. It is dry in those places. And you will see the same people you would have seen at any sport crag.

Does this mean the claw is back in action... You still have a few southern highland projects to tick don't you?
