I reckon not many play team sports as most are on weekends when they are climbing?

That's because they are not sports. They are opportunities to explore homoeroticism.

As opposed to when your mate is doing a bridging move above you in short shorts and yells down "watch me"...

Both road cycling and climbing are team sports.

I tried out for a basketball team a few years back - they only played on Sundays.
I said is there any other day, cause I'm usually on my way home from the mountains, probably no use on the court... they all wanted Sundays :(

Road cycling is only a team sport until the last 200m

Is the same true of climbing? Do you take your partner off belay for the last four pitches of any given route?

Unless you are racing NRS, road cycling is not a team sport - can get fined for colluding with other riders*...

*There are only a few event in the year that I am aware of where we can race as a team.

Ok I'll bite. I mentioned I had played rugby. First grade in Sydney, Brisbane and the UK and because I was reasonably able I tended to play for good teams and my winning percentage would be well over 50% possibly closer to 80%. I reckon winning more than I lose would make me a winner.

you'd be a winner if you weren't participating in a sport where you relied on 10 other blokes to get you over the line
