A few folks are going climbing at south west barrenjoey in the arvo instead of doing the lighthouse tour.... bring your climbing gear if you want to get a climb in instead.

We had a fun day at Barrenjoey today.

A group of 9 volunteers and 2 Parks rangers met up at the car park at 8.30am. We walked out to about halfway around the headland and worked on removing a large number of mainly bitou bush and asparagus fern in the sensitive grassland area. Brief showers after lunch didn't dampen our spirits as we continued to walk around the headland - treating a couple more areas of bitou bush.

I believe a school of dolphins was sighted, but as I missed them while working further around the corner from the main group!

Sorry, it's too late for me to figure out how to link them directly here.

Thanks for organising this superstu. It's definitely a fun event to be involved in and I think all of us were shown a part of Barrenjoey we've never seen before (including the rangers!).
