Actually, after seeing how articulate he was in the reel rock film, I at least understand how he's doing a speaking tour.

If I was in Melbourne on the night and it was about $30 I would probably go along but for $70 - no. Given that it's also being set up as a schmooze session for the climbing wall/hold company that he's associated with it's even steeper as the money doesn't even get you to the snacks..
By comparison the cheap seats to hear David Attenborough, if you could get them, were $90. I would happily pay that, in fact I would happily pay the $150+ for the better seats.

Cue the retired sportclimber/mod who has failed to realise that most people aren't getting stuck into the famous climber, but the idiots from Brisbane who are trying to make an A-list event out of a climbing slideshow instead.
Also cue him using the wrong "cue" :D

Im totally going! 70 dollars is about how much I spend a month on soove cream because I get red raw chaffing between my thighs and under my scrotum, so I figure if I walk with my legs really wide apart BEFORE I get chaffing then I can see Chris and not lose a thing. Just like whatso wrote he is definately a hero of mine along with Keith Bell and I will surely be a better man for the presentation. Can anyone give me some advice on how to get the 'Beachcombers' theme song out of my head? Everytime an important event approaches It just arrives and speeds up. It even infiltrates my dreams which otherwise are populated by Keith Bell and Chris Sharma....then the logs in the river and the speed boat doing a jump and it all gets crazy.

I bought two tix, but won't be able to go. If anyone is interested, feel free to make an offer. Would rather not lose all the money.
