So the most traditional easter 4 day weekend approaches and as i get used to dealing with latino/dominican carnage i think of what i would normally be doing right now..... cooking stews and currys to pack down and choosing routes for Moonarie of course!!! So i wonder what is australias easter climbing tradition??? hit me with it, make a girl home sick!!!

The weather has turned autumnal and pleasant so we're getting our to-do list together: Pagoda, Flying Buttress, Miles from Nowhere, Hangover Layback, Pine Crack, Outside Chance, Downwind of Angels......does that make you homesick enough!

Popeye, Groveller, Gobbler and Squishy are heading to Arapiles if it isnt raining. 3 days of no hygiene, bacon for breakfast and tea at Bonnie and Clydes in Horsham. The wife is working all Easter, hooray!

I'll be climbing at Araps. Climbs more than 15mins from the Pines are empty, even at Easter.

10 days at Araps starting good thursday(?), poking around the northern group, pinnacle face, tiger wall, eagle cleft if it is hot. Watching the kids wobble their way up their first few leads, braving the horrors of the Nati caravan park. (much water in the lake still?)

There are climbs more than 15 minutes from the Pines?

Is there anyone is driving from Melbourne to Araps next Tuesday that I can catch a lift from? Happy to share petrol costs. Or if someone wants to share a rental car together I'm happy to do that too. I'm flying from Sydney to meet some friends that are already there. My third visit to Araps and I'm getting excited.
Cheers,
Yen

Heading north of the border and spending a week in Nowra, followed by a week in the Bluies before migrating back south the more homely state.

Know what you're saying Bel. I was on GRRC last year with two Moonarie first-timers. I'd forgotten what good value it is at 13 - the first pitch is continually interesting and the awkward jamming on the third pitch (at grade 9 or so) is pretty special. I think Moonarie grades should be the standard for the rest of the country!
