+1. Good routes in a range of grades, excellent rock quality, pleasant riverside setting. A great way to spend a winter's day. Why the fcuk anyone would drive past TP to go and climb salt-encrusted choss at Point Perp defeats me.

Especially if you don't get to climb every weekend - you can get so much climbing done in a day at nowra. You can go climbing with people of a variety of abilities and still all climb together.

? I could pay that one - good routes, not great routes.

?? Excellent compared to what? Other NSW sandstone maybe.

??? Now I know you're trolling. You rarely get above the treeline and you spend your day listening to speed boats playing wanky music.

Yup! You won't see a couple of humpback whales breaching beneath your feet at Thompson's.

Now, don't get me wrong. I love the point. But you can't give stars to a climb because of the whale watching? It's a bonus when you climb. Not the reason. Not many whales at arapiles or in the gramps. In fact I'm going to give the orange 21 at st peters 4 stars because I looked down and had a cracking view of a hot French birds cleavage

Finally someone has posted a sensible post.
BigG a fallen madona with big boobies wins. Did you ask the hot french chick her name? Lucious hooter francy babe are you out there?

Okay, but TND was confused why anyone would swap comfy compact bomber rock for what can be sharp, salty, crusty, wind blown, mank. You're right, the chance of spotting whales or hot French birds doesn't change the routes, but adds amazingly to the appeal of a venue....

Tnd is onto something. Pt. Perp is often out of condition with salty slime and sand filled cracks. Rather than waste a day by going out to check, it's probably better to stick with the year round perfect conditions found at Nowra...........remind me again where the (now global) term "spoodge" was coined? :)

What do you wear climbing if not trackydaks or king gee/hardyaka or shorts? It aint the eighties and tights from the dance shop were in. Do you wear designer (read wanker) climbing wear like prana?
I shop at Lowes.
