Fully titled "Over the Edge: The True Story of Four American Climbers' Kidnap and Escape in the Mountains of Central Asia"

I've added a review of this book to the review section - even though it is about 10 years since the book was published - because perhaps there are some of you (like me) who didn't know that Tommy Caldwell, Beth Rodden and a number of others were kidnapped by terrorists and held hostage, eventually escaping in a dramatic fashion? Even if you did know this and haven't read the book, its worth reading. I picked up this book remaindered at my climbing gym for $1 - and its the best $1 I've spent in a long time! The story is interesting, well researched, presented in a balanced way, and best of all, well written.

Available now at St Peters climbing gym for a gold coin donation.

I wouldn't expect anything less of Greg Child, as I have found all of his writings to be of that very high (and enjoyable reading), standard.
It is excellent having someone with his climbing pedigree so articulate when it comes to presenting those kind of experiences, even second hand!

You could do worse than read* this one; Mixed Emotions (a Chockstone review).
~> A timeless time capsule(!) that can be taken in small doses, about the whole gammut of climbing ... covering from epics to elation!

*Reminds self, to get around to adding a review for it as well!

... Here is a link to reviews of the (original thread title book) Over The Edge.

They have multiple copies for a buck?

I've been wanting to read this for a while. You Sydney-siders have it good.. except for the fact it's Sydney ;)
