It's on again - the only rockclimbing film festival in the world held in Natimuk!

This year it's going to be at Easter - Saturday the 7th of April, 6pm to be precise.

There will be films (if you make some), prizes (or at least one prize), fun, laughter and sex out the back (with Simey if you're desperate).

More importantly there will be FOOD AND ALCOHOL. Hell, there may even be waitresses on roller skates.

It's at the Natimuk Soldier's Memorial Hall, $10 to get in, food and alcohol extra.

Doors open at 6 pm, films start at 7:30 sharp.

Films strictly under 15 min, submit in DVD format to:
Douglas Hockly
Box 167
Natimuk 3409 Vic

Goatfest is shaping up to be a good one this year with a bunch of quality films in already - there's Dave Jones' amazing animation of The Rhyme of the Ancient Merino, which was featured in one of the past goatfest posters.

Dave's blog http://theartofdave.blogspot.com.au/ has more in the 2009/2010 sections

A typically classy production by Simon Carter of Monique on that amazing looking 32 in Verdon she did recently (on the cover of the last Rock):

Some excellent sequences (and screaming) from The Ogive (if you don't know it, it's a 10m gr28 roof crack/trench/wierdness at Bundaleer in the Grampians)

(those pics are not from the film, which is not black and white, but what the hell.)

A thoughtful and beautifully shot doco "Lines of Flight" which is a reflection on the release that gritstone soloing provides, in a historical context.

Simey is making a doco of the Chockstone inspired trip to Stradbroke island, which sounds cool, and Wendy has made a telling doco on the seriousness of Duck's Disease (when your bum is too close to the ground due to insufficient leg length). Don't be fooled by the 4 kneepads and stuffed wombat, this is a serious film about a serious topic.

Oh, and Mars. Climbing on Mars. Seriously.

Don't forge to tell people that there is a capacity limit and they will be turned away if they are late.

Door bitch from afar.

Sorry I can't make it.

Sorry only one screening this year. Good point tho Hero, people were turned away last time, so first come first served.

And a little piece of history will be achieved this year, as this is the Tin Anniversary of Goatfest.

Wow, ten years... cool!

Unfortunately we won't be able to show "Slaves of Natimuk" due to it's risque content it's been knocked back by the classification board.

Congratulations Edwin and more recently Doug for all your hard work, often in the face of adversity, apathy and indifference.

Does that poster make reference to a Technicolor Yawn, or something else that comes in technicolor?

Well, not a Golden Goat winning entry this year ... but nevertheless, more classy, lowquality filmmaking for your viewing pleasure:

... First wombat I have seen with a tail, but, yes, it was a good fun to watch vid. Thanks for posting.

For those of us who unfortunately could not attend Goatfest this year, is there any chance of further link-posts to other entries, particularly simey's one (that I heard was a classic), of Clinton's Stradbroke-Tyro?
