This week the missus cooked curry chicken for valentines day and I had the usual problem the next mornining and came home to pizza after being out with mary. Cool, spend an hour with a bitch and get pizza

The cynic in me would suggest they are regular battery eggs that were selected out using xray (for product consistency, cos twats who buy in supermarkets like that kind of shit) and were destined for food processing, but somebody is flogging them off as free range where the customer doesn't care about double yolkers.

More likely, very young hens.

Free range hens do lay double yolker eggs. I happen to kow this because I have some myself. What happens is that because of their young age and all the good healthy food they get these young hens start 'cycling' slightly quicker than once ever 24 hours.

If you bought a lot of hens of the same age then they will all start doing this at about the same time.

Those young hens (which are also called pullets) will grow out of this phase after a few weeks, from memory. So you were lucky to benefit from getting good value for your money spent, which was essentially a couple dozen eggs for the price of 12. If you buy the 7's or the Jumbo sized eggs from the supermarket there is a chance you might find the odd double yolker as well.

BTW sorry about my first post, I was just kidding. I hope that there is no real woman climber called Mary, and in fact I am a Kiwi climber who has never been to Aussie, but I did get to see it once from 30,000,000 feet and it looks like a big place.

You certainly are an interesting addition to Chockstone. A New Zealand chicken farmer (the only reasonable explanation for the above level of knowledge of hen 'cycling') who is also an astronaut (the only reasonable [not really] explanation for having seen Australia from thirty MILLION feet).
