Classic from the original 1967 VCC guide (Baxter/Dewhirst):
"All the cliffs in Victoria (excepting the cliffs of the Grampians and Mt. Arapiles) on which climbs have been recorded are described. There are other cliffs (particularly in East Gippsland), but as yet they have not been climbed. However, such cliffs are very few. The line was drawn at quarries and railway or road cutting, as these should be included under the category of earthclimbing. The boulder-strewn, steep hillsides (such as most of the Werribee Gorge) which some people call cliffs have been omitted likewise."

Enjoy. No I'm not making this up. There will be more.

Says a school kid to a senior gym supervisor during their school sport:
"Do you do the dinosour jump?"
"Huh?"
"You know - when you jump up the wall?"
"Ohh... you mean dyno"
"Yeah. Maybe it's a dinosour for an older climber..."

on reflection:
some choose to live vicariously through others - a portion of the thrill,
none of the risk of engagement and none of the rewards.
