Well it doesn't matter whether the climber is male or female because the quote obviously means that the climber has a cat and cats aren't allowed at Arapiles so that means the climber can't camp at Arapiles and won't need a tent, so...
Of course the climber is a female you dipstick.

...well ... i figured that it might have been some bloke , who was stoked to have his gf with him @ araps, and he didn't care if it rained or blew a dust storm , cos he would be ... well some of him would be gleefully accommodated in a very pleasant place ... even if theyr just ruffin it on the dirt ...

Just an assumption on my part, given my time on this site and noting his many user ids have all been 'disbaled' along the way.
For the character that he is I doubt he would not look in from time to time, and who knows, may one day agree to play by chocky mod rules and be allowed back?
Maybe one day hero has gone to find him and enliven the site, or failing that, commiserate with stugang?
