Cooly was sportin' black tennis shoes
He was looking for something to use
With a pistol in his pocket and a bottle of booze
Well, it could be me or it could be you.

Now we're talking. I was going to suggest Delerium Tremens was a worthy goal for a grade 22 leader, but I think you trumped me already.

I just did an M9 style analysis of Macciza's posts - 78 % of his posts mention that route, which is actually a lot lower than I was expecting.

Sublime recognition achievement unlocked. So, serious response: just do what everyone's said and go to Araps as much as possible. A goal will present itself. In the meantime, you'll climb heaps of rad stuff, get strong and good at placing gear.

Do the other 22% mention Dog Face? With about 60% covering both?

The title piqued my interest but now I see that I should have been wearing my glasses and noone is actually needing an ambitious goat.

Climbing's not 'all' about 'fun' . . . and anyway lots of the time it does not have to be fun to be fun . . . .
Plus the person wants something 'ambitious' - I consider that 'challenging, with possibility of failure' or rather an initial 'unlikely to achieve' appraisal. . . . Not just some 'depic-fail-dog' circus . . .
And I'm presuming that if he can't work one of those out within his current gym/fun climbing circle than perhaps he's looking for something more substantial . . .
So SH may not be the best suggestion but it is certainly more 'ambitious' a goal than climbing most of the routes there in the style that they generally get climbed . . . . sorry . . .
So here is a serious 'ambitious' recommendation - something larger than your usual outing, maybe Buffalo, the Bungles or better still Frenchmans Cap -
I am sure most climbers would be able to find themselves an ambitious project at any of these cliffs . . .
PS Most of those SH posts where probably me 'sand-bagging' Zac and myself onto the route anyway,- Why? Probably because I felt like an ambitious project that I knew I could at least give an honest attempt at regardless of whether I succeeded or not in line with my stated ethics of the time . . .
M9 - I meant it more in the sense of 'offf'-Broadway - but yours works well . . .

Completely agree!
The painful, terrifying, and bloody exhausting moments are the ones I catch myself reminiscing about.

That's because you essentially find it fun, as it your chosen adventure...my point was once you start asking someone else what your goal should be, you not really climbing for your self....so will become un-fun pretty quickly.
