Nangar is one I haven't heard before. Are you climbing on Mt Taylor? looks pretty rugged/undeveloped...
Thanks so much for all the feedback! Can't believe I got 27 replies so quickly--obviously a great community here.
trust me, i'm not climbing solely to "get in shape"--i just like to have big, hairy goals long term to give life a bit of focus. i love being on the wall, learning the techniques and falling occasionally, pushing myself... and i've been looking forward to moving outdoor for ages.
As luck would have it, I'm meeting shortman in the Grampians this Sunday for my first taste of trad. We did a surgical strike in a couple of shops at lunch today so i'm the proud owner of my first nut tool, helmet and sling.
"stoked" doesn't even begin to cover it :)

Whoaaa... that's amazing!
Here's an example of what I'm NOT keen to do--although it's still very cool:

Yes, but the ones that shrink your bits
have fun back here, I'm off to china tomorrow and saturday I'm climbing with the Beijing Climbing Club.
ODH, you can have my drill if I don't return.
WWS can have my crashpad and my hat
Wallwombat has my loaner rack (carrying that will make anyone fit)
and Simey gets my tights

Careful mikl; with booty like that, you are likely to fire up their ambitions to the point of them hiring a Chinese hit man...

The recent pics of Jerry Moffatt, starkers and tied up have brought me back to my trad roots.
I've been riding my unicycle out to Weddin Mountain every second day and doing the Peter Croft thing.
30 pitches per day. 30 first ascents.
Per day.
Double rack, no rope.
