Happy birthday Chockstone!
24 years young today!!

During this quiet time lately (on this Site), it makes me wonder how much the alternative platforms meet the needs of the Australian climbing community.
At a local level I am sure the social media groups meet that need, but I lament the loss of the wider perspectives (State, National, International), that Chocky kept us in touch with due a wide based active participation by the greater climbing community.

Agreed M9, Chocky is a great resource that I don’t feel Facebook or other sites can compare to. Also, the community here is great.

Yes, I miss this old discussion forum, Other social media platforms are full of the same questions getting asked over and over, trolling and a loss of civilised discussion.

Well, I joined Chockie rather than Mountainproject because of Clinton. What everyone did for him would have been made into a movie here in seppo-land. It also gave us the famous quote "nothing says safety like a trampoline". Happy 24

I often laugh when I drive past a local house that has a trampoline in the front yard and a pair of crutches leaning against the shed nearby. Nothing like being prepared.
