Just wondering anyone else's thoughts, but I find frustrating when clicking on someones link to an external page (away from chockstone.org) it opens in the same window by default. Is this intentional.
By personal preference, I would prefer the default to open a new page/tab, instead of me having to right-click then 'open link in a new tab/window'
thoughts?

I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but it's certainly the default action for a web browser following a straight a href if there is no target specified. From memory adding target="_blank" to the options of the a tag should get a new window (test). I think that'd be worth getting added to the existing code that automagically makes links.
While we're at it, it should recognise https:// as well as http://.

Yea set your browser options to open a new tap with a middle click. Works a treat.

You have to set that? Chrome does it by default, and I'm pretty sure firefox does too.
[Edit: Even IE8 does it. What browser doesn't? ]

Yeah I raised it a while back and was shouted down. I did at that stage learn about the ctrl-click-trick so that kinda shut me up but I say the same comment still applies.
