Greetings all ; can anyone tell me where I can buy a set Lowe Tri-Cams ?
I'd love to have a few of these funky looking devices to fill out the rack... :)

I think that Camp make them now (still the same though). You can't get them in Australia anymore (I go the last ones a couple years ago). Mountain Equipment Co-op (www.mec.ca) is probably your best bet now. MEC are reliable & have good prices.

Snowgum used to have them, until they decided that they were not moving them quickly enough. I would try one of their stores to see if any are still held in stock in an obscure place?
Last time I bought one they still had them but the size I wanted was only available through a Scout type shop in South Australia and they had it sent across to Wodonga for me.
The smaller sizes are the most useful and also the hardest to find ...

Try Rock Hardware 1st, you never know your luck!

when I got mine I searched a few snowgum stores, but ended up with the last ones from the Nati climbing shop. I was told they were last imported into Oz about 5 years ago (& this was a few years ago now) but as it took 5yrs to sell the shipment, no more were to be brought in. If Rock Hardware can get them good, but otherwise MEC are well priced & the FX rate to the Canadian $$ is comparable.

I noticed on the MEC site (a while ago) that most of the climbing gear was tagged with "only ships within Canada" or some such wording.
Anyone know what this is about?

is it just a coincidence that this post was the same day that pinnacle added tricams to their catalogue or a sneaky bit of advertising

maybe im just suspicious

Thanks for all the advice guys; I think I'll try Pinnacle Sports, since they seem to have a decent range and they're in Australia.
BTW, MatD, no this isn't a sneaky attempt at free publicity, just yer average bumbly fighting a losing battle against gear addicition ;)
