What happened to Stealth Onyxx rubber? I turn my back for one second (four years) and suddenly I can't get shoes resoled with Onyxx and Five Ten are pushing Stealth C4 again. I don't understand!

I gave XSGrip a go and its shit compared.

I think I'll be buying up all the Anasazis is my size that I can find!

Since when have you been concerned about footwork, Olbert?

Moving to Canberra has changed you.

You used to be cool, even with your feet skating off everything (regardless of the rubber).

onyxx sounds mystical whereas C4 sounds a bit robotic "scientific" so I can understand why the spiritual hipsters prefer the onyxx.

Onyx is dogshit on granite compared to C4. They stopped making Onyx because it was less good than what it was trying to replace, and nobody wanted it.

I'm tempted to drag up an old argument about this, but am trying to work on my maturity.

yeh good job on maturity but they were his glory days so give him a break. I cried when my folks chucked all my old fires. My climbing has gone downhill ever since,

If only they could recreate the old fire rubber...I'd be smashing it

Why do you even care about the rubber on your shoes? For steep sandstone? It seriously doesn't matter. You don't climb on anything else, do you?

I gotta have some excuse for my weakness!

And occasionally I climb things other than steep sandstone.

I've tried a bunch of shoes and I've always come back to the newer Anasazis. I just got them resoled with GripXS and they are shit.
