Is climbing gear cheap in Singapore?

I should be heading over to Singaproe Malaysia and Thailand for a amonth or two and had heard that gear costs less in singapore. I think I'll be needing a rope and a few quick draws and was wondering if anyone has bought stuff there.
I have googled it but to no avail. Any info would be much appreaciated.

I was there last year - and i didn't notice any super bargain prices on gear - apart from 5.10 climbing
shoes. Ropes/draws etc were about the same price as oz.
