If anyone was at Piddington over the weekend I was a part of a university club that got a number 5 BD Camalot stuck in Chartiy (13) in the Centre Cliff section. If you have been able to get the cam out please, and if you are a good enough person to return it, please PM me.

As it is a climbing club cam we might be able to arrange a small reward for the person kind enough to send it back our way.

Thanks chockstone!!

A #5? Why didn't they crawl in and get it?

Over-cammed, to the point where each lobe is making contact on both sides of the crack. So its sort of like having 4 tricams wedged in there. Retrieving it would require a little bit of hammering, Im guessing.

I must have done Charity loads of times but i've never owned or used a 4 let alone a 5!

Hope it finds it's way back to you anyway.

You sure you're thinking of the right route? I get the little routes next to flake crack mixed up so I had to check. Its the furthest left corner crack right next to the wall, and it's a bit wide. If you do it without a #4 then props but it takes one.

Definitely a #4 though...which is why the #5 probably got stuck!

As a university club I'm sure you can organise an embarrassing, public and possibly alcoholic punishment for the member involved. After all, one of the ultimate goals of a climbing club is a net positive flow of booty in to the gear cupboard.

I'm climbing there this weekend - if it is still there, I'll have a crack (geddit?) at getting it out. But if it is still there this weekend, its probably welded in...
