The permadraw cometh? |

I’ve just picked up the March copy of Rock and Ice and read an article on the Austin Powers-sounding Shagg Crag in Maine.
Controversy has reigned there over the decision to install permadraws – see here: http://permadraws.com/ – to allow breeders to get in and get their pump on in safety rather than having to install their own draws or rely on weathered, in situ “seasonal draws”, those with nylon dogbones/slings.
I could definitely see them being a good idea in some sport climbing zones, such as routes in the Blueys or at Thompsons Point.
So permadraws, good or evil?
