Bit of a funny picture but... look at the elbow, then follow the bottom of the arm toward the shoulder.. after a few inches there is a diagonal protrusion which I guess is a vein... well the pain I feel is essentially directly between the bump on the elbow at the bottom of the picture, and that diagnoal vein... its good because it shows the location as not quite the absolute bottom of the arm, but slightly skewed towards my body... when I push in there i can feel small tendons (I assume) and a few days ago after reasonably stiff lockoffs and cranks, would increasingly hurt, and become quite painful after ceasing activities.. it would settle after a few hours of rest and application of voltaren gel... I rested and iced for a day after that then did boulder some the following day and while I felt some mild discomfort, it was not even remotely close to the intensity I felt days before which was not overwhelming but substantial... I was not doing the same moves though. I have also felt a twang of pain, very lightly, when lifting grocery bags with my hands in certain positions.

I dont expect anyone to diagnose me on here, its too difficult to describe I imagine...

Rockotter: cheers.. ice is being done! Ive actually noticed a bit of a throbbing in the elbow after the ice application but I assume its blood returning to the area and triggering pain related to the injury or condition... I am definitely dropping the intensity (I actually was extremely stupid in going from essentially 6 weeks rest to full bore activity without working up to it, plus I overdid a theraband exercise and felt a slight tweak of an existing condition for which the theraband was being used, in the bicep)... so I have only myself to blame. I am dropping off all climbing til I get a professional opinion though I think.. or maybe just a little gentle climbing ;)
