Does anyone have any information about this yet? I know that Lucky was intending to be out there today...

I wonder if this was the same 'setup in the wrong place', that lead to hitting the ledge previously?

'Lucky' has that place pretty well dialled due to having been there (often-ish) before...

If he was involved, then it's likely that there is more to this than first glance would reveal.

How sad. I hope all those who witnessed the incident and family members are ok...

Very sad to hear this. After all he went through recovering from his last accident, to go like this, on something he was so familiar with... just terrible. It's all worth it right up until it isn't. Heavy condolences to family and friends, he was really one in a million.

He was inspirational.
This seems particularly fitting.

Vale Toby Benham / Lucky Chance.
I appreciated your adventurous spirit and the going-for-it nature of your exploits.

Does anyone know what happened?

Having met the guy only in passing he seemed to live up to his personality in the media. I'm saddened to see this happen - for his family and friends but also for the climbing community.

No need to speculate on this public forum, wait for the coroners report.

It seems very hard to get the coroner's reports. Having looked for a few, I think there is no formal advice issued if there isn't a recommendation to make a case for the police (someone to be charged). Can anyone correct me?

I think there's more benefit from speculation and collation of available facts than getting the facts late or never.

Not that hard.
Coronial findings are made public.

Apparently the word coronial is not in most dictionaries, and not recognized on a scrabble board. Might be time.

I would assume those there did there best.

They will come forward or not as they wish. I feel sorry for them all.

Is that a new(ish) feature?

I wanted to read one once and was refused, it was not released 'for the families'.
