A friend of mine who was on site assisting the Police told me the following (I've paraphrased and removed the name of the injured):

A young climber fell approx 10m from a ledge in bush "below wave wall" and was unable to move. Apparently he was semi-conscious and in a lot of pain. He wasn't climbing when he fell, and was in the bush at the time.

I'm not sure from what my friend has advised whether or not "below wave wall" means he fell from the Wave Wall part of the Glen (which would have been further than 10m, I think, and landed down at Porters) or down at Porters Pass (in the area below Wave Wall, which would be just before Dogs and Cats, and Apples Wall of Porters. I didn't want to push the point with my friend, it sounds like a trying day for all concerned.
