"I will conquer it with traditional gear and pegs" ??
Does anyone actually talk like this and say they're going to "conquer" a climb (apart from Everst tourists)? Probably the literal translation but it grates. You'ld think BD would pick up these things.
climbing pre-inspected routes on pre-placed gear is a bit like starring in your own porn film (yes I do it and find it interesting, but i can't imagine anyone else would)

I'm not sure Mike; I reckon there are many Chockstonians who might find your porn films interesting:)

Or the drone gets too close to a rope, creating an exciting impromptu solo first ascent

I call bullshit on both of this.
The reality of the torque involved is far from sufficient, and you are implying that the multi-dollar drone / camera operator is less than competent to look after their gear.
You trolls need to get a life.
C'mon Mr grumpy pants, it's way more fun thinking that a drone's props could potentially chew up a rope, a bird, a cat or even a human body should any of them be unlucky enough to fall, or be pushed, into the spinning blades of death...

I am not grumpy.
Then again the closest to grumpy I have been recently, is when dalai labelled me a troll for expressing a legitimate opinion that happened to be different to the masses of clones that inhabit this site.
M75 do you ever post anything of contention, or are you too another conformist?

You're probably right about the torque though I'd be wary about having the drone too close to a rope under tension. I saw a drone literally drop out of the sky from about 5 metres up at the Nati Frinj last year. Just missed a guy who was not amused.

No shepherd and one herd! Everybody wants the same, everybody is the same: whoever feels different goes voluntarily into a madhouse.
I'm neither a conformist nor confrontational; just vapid...

My rough translation is:
"Hey Rolly, what's the deal with your project?"
"What's special is this route has been in "project status" for over 15 years
I've made the resolution to free it using only natural protection and existing pegs."
"Cool."
He says "befreien" not "besiegen" - so whoever translated it probably thought "conquer" sounded cool.

Surprisingly well said, for a clone.
Do you want to hold my rope some time?
(With a caveat that it is not sport spaced wanker bolting at two metre intervals).

DD is Spartacus
Ed’s name means horse
Estuardo Gives Good Grandniece
Stuey knows a million want to imitate him of course
But only one of us can be him
With his wit superior and all the rest inferior
Oh pity only one of us can be him
And not likely to change for M75 posts of course.
M75 keeps flying, when he leads on easy ground
It's not too late to know why we don't like belaying
whenever he's around.
DD is spartacus.
Stugang likes grandniece of course
It's not too late to avoid him whenever he's around
Ed wouldn't if he had a choice
And it's not too late, but I have to go
No, no, no, no, no, no I can't stay and have to go
Though you'd like to know who I am
I am not M75, but you knew that of sorts
martym might post up now, because he's a clone of course
It's not to late to know who he thought I am
Because trolls have a voice of course
