Ahhh no Mark, it's mid 13's, a little beyond me. Will is a local though, and we have all climbed with him, funny guy, and looks like a 14 year old with no muscle. I missed out on seeing him do it, he did it a couple of times....

Nice filming work by ex-Canberrean Dave Pearson..........made the only skanky cavey thing at Squamish look rather pretty. That kid absolutely strolled the bloody thing, I think it's 28 or so!

Hey Fishboy, how's the summer going? I heard it started out really wet, have you had any love from the canadian weather gods?

Dave lives two meters from my main climbing partner in Squish, it's a small town.

Nah mark, there is a nice 350m high wall to go aiding on instead nearby called the chief ;). I do live about three mintues from Zombie though...ugly piece of rock I tell ya!

Damo, the season started way early, then it crapped put again, I ended up getting a job in Van and now I'm working in Mexico for this month, but it's supposedly good now. A new guide just came out too with 500 new routes in it, and topos to rival the Mentz/Tempest creations. Psyched! time to get strong....Oh, speaking of Canberra, do you know Nathan Kukathalis (?). Quiet dude, left Oz a few years ago, totally skilled wall climber etc....at Mt Thor now in Baffin? Works for arcterx in Van.

Working in Mexico sounds pretty sweet, you're living the life mate.

Yep, known Nath since he was in school, most of the Baffin crew are mates from the 'bra. I was super tempted to join them, but..............things, and stuff, and other excuses :)

Nice, it's a small world...You making it over here soon?

If you call working in a desert in 35 degree heat, digging holes for explosives, and running from narcos the life, well yeah, I'd rather be back in Squamish.

Sorry for the highjack Andrew, love ya.

Does he have a blog or any other contact details?
~> It would be good to catch up with him again, as I haven't seen him since the last Blue Mtns Climbing Festival...

Ahhh, the beautiful weather! I think I had 3 weeks during which that would have classed as clear and dry. Can someone put a big umbrella over Squamish for me next time I go?

Hey Rod, he is on facebook, I'll let you know when he gets back if he has a blog. He seems to fly under the radar a bit, despite knocking off some top notch ascents. He got a 2nd of one of the maddest aid routes on the chief last year, and also did a ground up 1st ascent, something which hadn't been done out here for a very long time.

Too right Wendy! You have to be a skier out here to last....

Thanks Nick.

Back on topic. Good vid, and I especially appreciated the fact that that event was put into the greater context of its ascent.

Great video, really nicely shot. He certainly does makes the roof look very easy, I was more nervous watching him on the headwall and the vegetated ledge.

Fish boy, I live in whistler and have spent the past few weeks in squamish. It's not too far off mid 30s here either. So hot. The new bourdon guide is awesome too.

Nice. I've been back a couple of weeks now enjoying the rock. The new guide is soooo good, my wife gave it to me at the airport on my way back!
