My guess would be that:
weight of 3m of rope off the ground = 200g;
weight of climber = 2.2 kg depending on when he had his last pee
So about 10% of his body weight
So to him it would feel like me leaving the ground on a moderate route with my courage in a rucksack (aka a big rack)
