hi chockstoners!

I've just moved to Eildon from Hobart, and would be happy to find some climbers in the area. Happy to lead or follow trad or sport, or boulder, and happy to climb on anything except south tassie sandstone ;-)

e-mail adam.d.steer@gmail.com or yell: 0427091712

Cheers!

Adam

In Eildon your local crag is Cathedral Ranges full of great moderates routes 10-18. The place is still closed due to the bushfires.

A little further down the road you have Ben Cairn. Another decent day trip destination for yourself and Melbournites. Its a bit cold at the moment, its great in the summer though.

And finally you have the privilege to be almost an hour closer to Mt Buffalo another alpine crag. Though this one is one is one of victoria's mega crags with enought routes to keep you busy forever.

That said if you haven't been to arapiles yet put that on your plans for next weekend!!!

yeah we can *almost* see the cathedral from here... I only just realised it is still closed
:-(. I'd be happy to go help check the rocks out/do some path rehab if thats happening
[like what happened in Canberra after the 2002 fires, when I was living there]

Ah - I didn't know about this one.. granite, reasonably close, yay!!

I know :-)

Looking forward to checking out all those over the summer, from mid December.. and
Yet Another Arapiles Trip is surely on the cards come autumn...

cheers
