Does anybody want to go climbing this weekend? I have never climbed in Australia before, and probably won't feel comfortable enough to lead.. looking at doing some easy trad or sport - up to grade 19 (10a, maybe 10b).

Hey! Welcome to chockstone.
Just moved here? You studying or working here? I was considering a day trip but depends on the weather. The rock here is a fair bit different to Squamish, but if you're used to trad climbing then it shouldn't be took difficult.

The weather here today is most foul, a vile tempest doth asail the area. Hope it clears by the weekend.

Supposed to be beautifully clear on the weekend at the mount but bitterly cold. Which equals good friction ; )

Rich - how's life? I'm hoping you now have property to manage?
Karoline - I'm climbing with a couple of other canadians, so if you feel like making up a four and talking about the good old times in Squamish, just swing by. I drive a beaten up blue hyundai excel, and I guess we'll be somewhere in the pines probably up the top on the little flat section. 0403 324 366 if you need more def. info.
