I'm looking for a climbing partner who wants to do a climbing course at Arapilies that focuses on lead climbing, placing protection, belay anchors and some self rescue techniques. The course costs $150 per person per day. Im also looking for people who want to regularly climb outdoors(once or twice a month). At the moment I climb at grade 18 in the gym. I am interested in trad climbing and hopefully multi pitch in the future.

hi kady, I'm looking for a partner too - just arrived in melbourne from the UK. I'll past what I posted in
another thread:

Hello, I just moved to Brunswick from the UK and desperately need to get back into
climbing before I get too fat and weak from living off pies and steamed dim sims and
beer.

Am available to climb at the newly opened Hard Rock CBD (though I haven't registered
yet) and I guess other places but I don't know where they are and I can't drive. During
the day is ok for me as I mostly work from home. Indoors back in the UK I was
climbing about 5c/6a top-rope and maybe 5b-5c leading. I don't know if that translates
very well but the grade conversion chart says that's about 20 in new money.

I have a rack and rope for outdoors, too. Before moving to Oz I'd only been outside a
handful of times to do sport routes in Portland and trad routes up north in places like
Roaches and Stanage. I led up to Severe there and seconded up to HVS. That's, what,
about 16 or something?

Give me a call if you need a partner. 0423458127

Oh, it's Mark, btw :)
