I don't think anyone has yet come up with a good suggestion for what the girls should wear. Prob just wearing frocks is most appropriate. Certainly standard climbing gear is unacceptable.

I will organise a signed photo of Beefy in his Frocktober dress for the first person to guess the climber (should be easy) and route shown in the Spandex Day pic.

It's a common problem - the poor girls aren't challenged at drag parties either, and don't get me started on Moevember :-D

For extra points if a girl rocks up to the crag with a broken ankle and on crutches *and* wearing a dress they should be ok
(photo of Phobe last week near Newcastle)

Phoebe at Port Stephens

A word of caution guys, stay away from routes with technical footwork when wearing a sportsbra - my footwork really suffers when I look down to my feet and get *distracted by my booobies!*

No so sure of the route, as it looks like JB is climbing a crack, which rules out To Bolt...

The corner aspect is correct though (left face of corner). hmmm. Definitely Smith Rocks.

True!

Given that I won't be making it to Moonarie for that weekend, guess I will have to dust off my shiniest lycra and wear it around my neighbourhood...

Got it in one.

Just think. Not only did the American's have to live with JB putting up the hardest route in the US, and the first 5.14 at that... but they had to suffer the ignominity of having him do it in those tights! No wonder they were pissed off.

...and for a special prize - posted direct to your door, answer this one: What other Alan Watts project did JB snake to create another 5.14 later on? Clue: It's in the name...

"Just Do it"?

JB did a few routes at Smith Rocks... can't recall any others off the top of my head at the moment...

James - my cycling lycra is all black. My climbing lycra stands out a little more! Hopefully the Moonarie lycra day will start a resurgence away from the boring climber’s clothes of today! Viva Le Lycra!!

Edit - Neil got the answer in first....

hey I have my bright 'photo approved' climbing get-up... its just not lycra. bad lycra should have been burried along with Pyramid.

As for Frocktober... if South Australians aren't allowed to hide people in barrels of acid anymore, then I guess they can wear girls clothes...

massive generalization, not all of them can afford acid, sometimes it's just barrels and time......

I still have some 80's X/C skiing lycra, my time to dust it off, chuck on a rojo headband, and some gungaroids and get spanked in style on probabkly a 15!
