Planning a climbing trip throughout Europe, no fixed plans so far. My climbing buddies are all too busy to take off time so looking for a partner. Thinking of a cheap one way flight to France end of May (currently under $700) then hire, buy or lease a car for a couple of months. Will take a small trad rack, pointy stuff (alpine routes in Switzerland and France) and buy a 70m rope there for sport routes. Open for suggestions.

You might find it easier to buy a cheap car in the UK then drive over. Sounds like fun anyway.

Going for an open-ended euro climbing trip, doing alpine routes, and sharing in buying a car with someone from the internets.........what could possibly go wrong?

Have a look at the Goschenen valley in Switzerland, around the Bergsee hut and the Salbit (?) hut. Alpine granite. Only got to do a couple of little routes there after meeting up with some other climbers, but I thought it was a great place and didn't seem that crowded for Europe (Salbit hut is more popular I think).

Hey I will be in Europe from April to June. I will be in Spain for most of that time but thinking about some other place in Italy and Switzerland. I will have a rack and rope.
Cheers

Try Le Shant Du Cygne 7a in Switzerland - it's so good you'll never forget it!

You want to blow your mind try Adrspach north of Prague and Sachsische Schweiz just outside Dresden. They are both great places to climb and you can buy you rack there for about 30 bucks. Also easy to find some one to climb with in Dresden and you don't need a car there.
