NYE at araps?

I've been informed by my younger and better and more enthusiastic climbing partner that Araps is _THE_ place to be for NYE.

Various strategies have been mentioned for making it down there on time, but I thought I'd throw another round on the table... but I need early responses, otherwise I'll just stay at home and start work on the 2nd as normal.

so:

Who's going down?
Can I / we score a lift (only two of us)?

Anyone from sydney?
Can I meet anyone somewhere and get a lift from there?

*edit* Of course, petrol and or beer money will be a part of the deal ;)

I'm pretty sure MM has already asked around, but I can't find a thread / topic on it.

hi bf,

thanks for the ride to piddington, could repay the favour with the melbs to araps bit of your run when my car eventually shows up (should be well before ny's). Was thinking a little about buffalo at that time though, might even know someone in sydney who could help you and mousey get there (ell?),

Yarrr, It be true.
Araps is an all right place to spend new years.
Last year the shenanigans included a D.J, two spotlights, Euridicy and a few stouts.
Ill see yall there.

I'm a climber in Sydney planning a trip to Mt Arapiles in early Jan (approx 2rd -10th Jan 05) and looking for another leader to come with me. I'm afraid I won't be there for NYE though. I'm probably going to drive to Melbourne and then drive out to Mt Arapiles. You can either join me for the drive or fly to Melb and I'll pick you up at Horsham.
