Hi!
I'm a French girl living in the middle of nowhere (in Dunkeld) for 6 months and looking for someone to go climbing with in the Grampians. I'm not a good climber at all but really enjoy it!
So if someone is living around here and interested, let me know! :)

Hey! Dare say you will be fine getting a climbing partner! Which 6 months are the ones you mention? I will be up and back from Stapylton Campground and Geelong for the next 3 months, so if you need a belay let me know.

You need a climbing partner who is experienced with French girls and who understands the gentle transition required to come from the land of bolts to the land of nuts. I nominate ODH, given his experience in all things French.

Failing that, simply rock up to the Mt Arapiles campground. There is a pretty good chance you will find someone to climb with you.

Hi!

The 6 months are from now till feb 13.. I am not a good climber myself, but I used to go climbing in France with a very good climber who made sure I knew how to belay for his own safety, so no pb with that! ;) So if you're interested tell me when you'll be around here. I'm free most weekends, and some week days but my roster changes every week..

Still have to learn all the english climbing vocabulary :)

Hi Tiph, in all honesty, there's not that much in the way of climbing or places climbers hang out in the immediate vicinity of Dunkeld. You would be best heading to Arapiles for your weekends, where it is easy to meet people in the campground and there's a truck load of really good easy climbing. Stapylton campground is the best option in the Gramps, but even then, many climbers bush camp so there may not be any climbers there.
