Find Climbers In Your Area

Hey guys, I'm Tom, an American living in Cape Otway, about to finish up one job and head to the next, and I can't leave the area without climbing at the Grampians. Wouldn't ever forgive myself. Trying to get out for that weekend, maybe a few days more.

I'm mostly a sport climber, though I can and will trad (prefer to follow, and certainly don't have any gear on me.) Since I'm traveling out of a backpack, all I've got is my harness, shoes, and belay device; rope and draws would hopefully be something you have, I've got a tent (if that helps.) I'm looking for a few days of good solid adventure. Hopefully the weather capitulates.

Its been a bit since I climbed frequently, I get up the wall occasionally here but not real rocks (rare in this area.) Mid range climber, hardest send is 25. Just want to get out, see the Grampians, do a few great climbs and hikes, and really enjoy the nature there, despite it being winter.

Respond here or email at tomquigley103@gmail.com if you want to join up! I'll definitely be there. Having a rope and draws is even better, and even better if you're coming from Melbourne!

Hey Tom, I could be keen on heading up (am from Geelong), and could manage until maybe Tuesday. Got plenty of ropes, gear etc. Could possibly provide a car...

Weather depending, would be very happy to go to some great spots in the Grampians: Tiapan, Hollow Mountain (heaps of mid range sport), Camp of the Emu's foot crags - supposed megaclassic Return to Gariwerd, amongst many others.
