Hi all,
I'll be in tassie for work during march and will be staying on for the weekend of the 17-18th March. Would be very keen to head out climbing, I'll have a car and gear, just don't have any mates. Happy to drive and meet pretty much anywhere... within reason. :)
So if you don't mind hanging out with a brother from across the pond please let me know. Sport, trad, blocs... Don't really mind.
Cheers,
Philby.

Hello Philby! First off have you ever climbed in Tas? What grades do you want to climb? What do you want to climb? Are you familiar with the website www.thesarvo.com? This is the tassie climbing website and online guide. I am involved with the Uni Climbing Club and we will almost certainly be doing a trip on that weekend if your interested. It may be at Freycinet. See ya!
My number is 0459122559.

CJ, long time mate.
Never climbed in Tassie.
Grades, couldn't care really. Though wouldn't mind pushing myself given the chance (up to 29ish)
What do I want to climb... CLASSICS :)... and soft ticks of course
Will probably only have rope and draws as I'm over for work and can't take too much gear.
Have looked at thesarvo yes. Not too phased on where I head, just keen to meet up with some folk.

No worries, a rack of draws is fine for a weekend in tas! Oh yeah, its been awhile. Back in the "hammer" times... :) Just give us a few days notice(ill forget) and I can almost guarantee a partner if the weather is good. The star factory is a good choice for unique tassie climbing, but so is Mt Wellington for ease of access and heaps of moderate long routes.
But of course, you probably want to climb the totem pole. Oh well, I guess I could go out there again.... ;) Its a tough life.
