I know this is basically a repeat of some other posts (maybe), but I was wondering as a kind of general rule, how easily could you get a catch (belay) or a spot if you were by yourself in Australia. If I went up to the main Arapiles campground, would I be able to find a partner? I am coming for a month in early to mid-september and will initially stay in Sydney with a friend. She's got a job, but I still want to climb. Any suggestions?

You will almost always be able to find a partner. Ask around at the campsite, or post a note on the noticeboard there, or just bump this thread closer to your arrival date and see who responds.

Yep - you'll be right at Arapiles. Enjoy the golden goodness.
The Grampians would be much harder, as would Buffalo and many other areas.
Pack some warm clothes though, beanie, gloves & neck warmer. You might luck out and get some great weather, but it can get kind of cold then.
