'Good judgment is learnt through bad experiences.'

I thought this trip report of a recent climbing trip in the Wolgan might be of interest to people as a way to learn good judgment from another's bad experience from the comfort of ones own (warm) home.

Quite a way to top off a tradventure weekend!

Thanks Bjorn. Good to have something worthwhile to read on a day when Chocky has gone bananas. Shows how easy it is to make a mistake when you're cold and tired. Well recovered though.

Great stuff Bjorn. Tired and cold is a bad combination. I'm sure I would have done exactly what you did. I've learnt the hard way that sweating is much better than shivering. That extra jacket would probably have made the decision making much better. You did very well to get out of it. Well done.

Thanks for posting that link as a salient lesson in how simple things can potentially go badly wrong while playing the game in adventureland.

I enjoyed the writing style/read, as well as the underlying message.

I'm humbled at how familiar this situation is. Though glad to know it's not just me...

Great writing, I was with you guys on the cliff (not just cause I've been there before.. bloody double ropes! so thin and flappy)

Unfortunately, often what one can learn at the end of the rope is what one should have learnt in the meddle of the rope which is that they should have had it sorted before the start the rope . . .
Oh well, at least I won't do that again the next time, again . . .
