CHISHOLM TAFE 2nd YEAR CLIMBING

Last week students from Chisholm Tafe second year headed up to araps for the week. there was seven of us (me being the only girl) who were learning how to lead by the amazing lou sheperd and chrispy. it was an awesome week, didnt rain once, and we were all too eager to climb. this was our second week up there so we had a vague idea of what goes where but it was great to put our theory work to practise. Starting at Mitre Rock we flew up a bunch of climbs around the exodus side including penny dreadful, archbishop, exodus and many more! the rest of the week we adventured around araps and found some classic multi pitches which were amazing such as The Shroud, Huricane Lamp cracks, Resignation, pedro, eskimo nell, d- major etc...

by the end of the week we were all starting to push our grades a little and were leading around 13s except for Matt who ran up 15s. but we are all improving, soon we will be climbing Punks in the gym blindfolded. i wish.
it was great 'cuz a few of us had their first lead falls! which i suppose is a great thing to get out of the way.
so there you have it, another great week at araps and plenty more to come!
good luck to the 1st years at chisholm for their climbing. hope you enjoy!
Brent, Joe, Nate, Sam, Will Matt and me (Steph) will definately be hanging at the mount alot so we'll catch ya round!

Good one, after a while it's the falls that teach you what your doing wrong, and then you can jump back
on and try and get it right! good luck with it all BP
