OK, My partner is going to India in Jan '08 for a 3 week Yoga study in Goa (part of furthering herself as a Yoga teacher). She asked me to come along then do some touring for 2 weeks with her once the course finishes. If I decide to fly in with her I have 3 weeks by myself and then 2 weeks with her.
I'd love to head up to the Himalaya area for the 3 weeks and make the most of it.

So i'm giving you all a blank canvas upon which to paint what you would do (or better, 'have done') with these three weeks...

Disclaimers:
* I rockclimb but have no formal mountaineering training - playing around Blue Lake with axes/crampons once doesn't count.
* I don't have unlimited funds (student traveller) but should be able to save up 'sufficient' $.

So inspire me... What would you do with the 3 weeks????

Hi Take,

I'm heading to Nepal in Feb 07 for 3 weeks. If you like, I can PM you details of our guide. He was recommended by our mountaineering friend (Beefy on here) and is reasonably priced.

Hey,

Do you ski?

Will be in Kashmir and Himachal, for a month or so this Feb. The area is awesome for big mountain backcountry skiing.... Bad time of year mountaineering, as they can get 10 meters of snow in a single storm.....

Thanks, feel free to pm me any info.

Ski, hmmm not very well (alpine and freeheel). Snowboarding since 1990 (more off than on the last couple of years) as it damaged my dodgy knees less than skiing. Both on-piste and back country, Aust and NZ.

As yet I have no idea about what to do with myself up there (North India, Nepal etc) during this time. I had the trip thrust upon me and am now trying to build a suitably full schedule to make the most of it. Hence the free for all first post in the thread, trying to get a brainstorm of ideas going.

Thanks for your replies.
