I know this has nothing to do with climbing, but has anyone done the trail? Me and my sister are looking at doing it just wanting to hear from some people who may of actually walked it??

Have not done the Kokoda, however I lived in PNG for a few years and did plenty of other hikes, including some associated with WWII exploits.

In a nutshell you will feel like you have done some of the hardest climbing of your life by the time you finish it, and you will have a new respect for those that went before.

This bloke comes highly recommended. I have no personal experience with him however. His website will at least give you some indication of what to expect and what sort of training is needed before undertaking such an arduous expedition. Kudos to you for considering doing the track.
