I'm looking for copies of old Warrumbungles guides to get a better idea of where some of the routes go.
The best I've got so far is an incomplete photocopy of "Rockclimbing in the Warrumbungles" by Brian Luxford, published by Sydney Rockclimbing Club and Thrutch in 1973.
Can anyone help me out with info?

I have a copy of the Joe Friend guide from the '70s. It's probably the worst guide I own. I don't think it will help if you want to know where the routes actually go.

Guides for this area are notoriously bad. I have a couple different versions but they aren't digital - pm me your postal address and i can send you a copy.

If you live in Melbourne try the MUMC clubrooms at Melbin Yewni on a tuesday night. I recall there were a number of old 'bungles guides in their store.

Have you done any routes in the Shoalhaven Gorge with access from Tallowa?

I've done some routes on Lake Yarrunga with access from Tallowa. It's very easy to access the lower gorge from there. Canoes can be rented from Kangaroo Valley for not too much. Planning a trip in summer. Heaps of unclimbed sandstone. Good quality too.
