I recently took my first trip to Boronia Pt for the first time in about 6 months the other day. I love that crag but it is just me or are both tracks in getting worse and worse with water erosion? They were never great as long as I have been going there but it shocked me just how bad a state the track is in when I went the other day.
I realise they seem much worse after rain but the track is just washing away. In the dry its not as bad but it seems to be getting worse fairly quickly. I have been trying to figure out who to talk to about this seeming that the land is not in the national park. Anyone here have any ideas about how we could find out about fixing this or if its even viable? It's definately not the worst track I've seen but it could use some TLC at some point.

There is a bunch of work being done by Trackcare recently. They just did lot more work at Barden's last weekend; just ask Mikl. I'll let one of the guys involved in organising it know about your comments. Volunteers for the odd workdays always welcome I'm sure.

Just to spell it out for my drug addled brain, does this mean that there is a Trackcare day at Boronia Pt on the 8th of November? I'll put it in my diary now.

I'm in a similar bind with work and study but would love to "give back" when time allows.
What is the best way to find out about the track care days asap so I can plan ahead and fit them in? Is there an e-mailing list?
Thanks

HI all,
Next TrackCare day is most definately on at Barden's Lookout. It's getting close to being finished so the work days will be there until it's finished. Boronia may be a good one to do next though, as it's mainly a climber's only track, although you do get a few tourists doing the loop.
The latest Rock gives some more detail on the work days plus an e-mail address if you can make it. You learn a lot and everything is provided.
