was up at camels last week and noticed that the back wall has had a heap of bolts added to it over the three climbs in the skippy area.
any reasons, safer cliffs????
kinda dissapointed, this was a nice place away from crowds but big fat bolts have kind of lessened the experience. I can understand that these climbs were run out, but that to me was the appeal, more to the point one of these new bolts was within a foot of a what appeared to be a perfectly safe, inconspicuous carrot bolt. There was also anchors added to the top, next to perfectly good trad gear. This could have been better planned with ring bolts to lower off as that section is not straight forward on descent.
