Cliffcare Barrenjoey Works Day this Saturday

A couple of times a year climbers get together to help look after the Barrenjoey Headland.

Half a day with the park rangers killing invasive weeds then the afternoon for climbing (or swimming!)
We will go climbing as a group so a great way to make new climbing friends and get some climbing done.

Everybody is welcome, no experience necessary, and all tools are
provided. Contact details on the flyer, please RSVP if you plan to
come so we can organise car pooling or an all-day car parking permit for you.

I have no more excuses for my beloved Barrenjoey. I'll be there this time.

Anyone up for brushing and repeating some unfashionable testpieces that weekend? Leon the Klepto Cat? Sand Syringe?

I have a flyer at St Peters gym posted. Can anybody post a flyer at one of the other Sydney gyms or gear stores?

That bloke in red has the largest 'stick-clipper' I've ever seen! It doesn't even fit into the photo!

Yeah i wondered about that stick clip, would be hard to clip those carrots... Or you could just stick clip the anchors with it

We've all placed hexes and slung bollards with sticks (even clipped carrots in desperation) but what about cams?

Maybe 3m of cord threaded through the trigger wire running down the stick?

Hi superstu,

Next time you do a clean up day (awesome work btw) could it maybe be on a Sunday? I have never climbed at barrenjoey but am keen to help out and get an introduction to the crag but I work most Saturdays.

Cheers

G
