Does anyone know of any climbing near the Kanangra walls area? Are there any established crags/lines there, is climbing even allowed?
Doing the walk to Mt Cloudmaker next month and I'd like to try and sneak in a day of climbing

G'day mate,
It's interesting you bring this up. I actually asked the same questions a while ago:

It seems that Tom Williams, Ian Brown, Dave Noble and Adam Darragh have done some climbing/new routing out that way, but route information is quite scarce (Dave has a few trip reports on his web page which exemplify the adventurous nature of the place.

I've actually been keen to get back that way to work on a few multi-pitch lines I was eyeing off while canyoning out there.
As to whether or not it is allowed: well, it IS national park, so it's always a dubious issue, but unless it suddenly turns into Centennial Glen, I don't think there will be too many problems.
Regards,

Krafts walls on the way from Kanangara to Cloudy look like a few decent lines with Narrowneck-quality rock, would be worth a look...

I did a couple climbs there a while back. There were some boulders a 10 minute walk from our campsite, which were quite good. We also did a couple short routes that we found off the track going down to the falls (didn't look like we were the first).

Wow, the "Razorblade Ridge" route in Paul's second trip report link looks like an awesome day out. Proper blue mountaineering.
Some bushwalking/canyoning friends exited Danae Brook (I think) by the Thurat Spires traverse, and it was apparently "really scary and hard", so it sounds like fun.
