Currently I have stayed in Sydney. I am from Japan. And I am planning to go to Grampians probably from middle of Sep.
From which city can I go to boulder area by public transportation or walk?
I would like to live in there for couple of months if I could get job in there.

If you have any ideas, please let me know.

Thanks.

Grampians is very poorly served by public transport. Halls Gap might be worth a try - the tourist season will be ramping up from September and there may be some jobs available. Bouldering around Halls Gap is not great but there is a lot of area and you could have fun exploring. There is also an active bouldering/climbing community around there so you should be able to hook up for trips to Stapylton and the Victoria Range which are the major bouldering areas (about 30km from Halls Gap).
For bouldering at Stapylton you can take in supplies and base at the Stapylton campground and walk from there but it's difficult to get there without a car. People have been known to hitch along the highway and then walk the minor roads to the campground(15-20 km), but you would want to carry about a week's food to make that worthwhile.

Ummm... Most of the established bouldering is in the northern Grampians, about 20 minutes drive from Horsham, around here: http://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=-36.890201,142.37426

I met some guys working at the olive farm and near staypylton and walking to the bouldering around there. they said it was great and easy to do.
Haven't done itmyself though.

Good luck
