I think if you drove from the northern suburbs of Sydney for 4+ hours to reach Mt Corree just to climb on something other than sandstone you would be disappointed. The Jerusalem/Layback flake/superjesus/etc area has some good quality routes but there isn't much quality (there sure is quantity but they tend to be short, with sharp flakey holds) for a grade 18 sports climber at Mt Corree IMHO. Also I think that there was an issue with the bolts.

Top roping the classic slabs at Tarana, eg 21 days on the toad, fuzzy navel (P2), etc will develop your understanding of what it takes to stick to granite. Then a trip to the Northern slabs at Booroomba wont feel so intimidating. Or the ACT mini crags (Gibralter, Orroral Ridge, and that little sporty crag near Gibralter that Chris developed - Bandido Wall).
