Does anyone have any pictures/ know any thing more than is in the old guide?
The guide seems like its been rarely climbed on, has any one else been out there?
From what I've seen of the Gloucester buckets out the car window on my way to kayaking trips, the cliffs look pretty awesome, and it would be pretty cool to go ground up to the top.
Also is the rock granite?

i thought the rock was a basalt or diorite, that being what much of the rock around the Barrington Tops is.
I have some free time this week if you want to head up and check it out.

Have heard that some Newey locals have put a few lines up here and there on the Buckets since the guide, but nothing to substantial. Main problem is that pretty much all of the rock is on private land. The rock looks ok from what iv'e been on, but crumbly in sections. Would be worth having a good scout around after talking to some of the owners. In the past some of them were pretty keen to get climbers up there to boost tourism in the area! The rock is similar to granite, but no buffalo.
Barrington Tops has pretty much zero rock
